HOW TO GET TO FRONTIER LODGE

How Will I Get to the Frontier Lodge?

It’s closer and easier than you think. The gateway airport that you will fly into from points south is Yellowknife, the capital of the Northwest Territories. Major airlines including Air Canada, West Jet, Canadian North and First Air all fly into Yellowknife daily from major cities in Canada, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa. Your flight times from the south will range from 2 ¼ hours direct from Vancouver, up to 5 hours from Ottawa.

You will arrive in Yellowknife the day prior to your trip into the Lodge to rest and enjoy the City’s Old Town and other points of interest. Check out our links below for hotel and restaurant recommendations.

On the morning of your flight, our Yellowknife hosts will pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the airport. From Yellowknife, depending on your package activity, your 50-minute flight will be by a chartered or scheduled twin engine flight directly to the community of Lutsel K’e, where you will be welcomed by local hosts and brought by 5-minute boat crossing to the Lodge.

Frontier Lodge is located at the mouth of the Stark River, across from the community of Lutsel K’e, Northwest Territories. The Lodge is truly the Gateway to Thaidene Nene, located strategically at the entrance to the East Arm of Great Slave Lake.

Upon departure, you will be flown to Yellowknife in time to connect with most outbound commercial airlines or to enjoy another day or two in the Territory.

Simple.
