LAKE TROUT FISHING
If you’ve always dreamed of fishing the East Arm of Great Slave Lake, it’s likely because of one thing – Lake Trout!
Our fishery is a renowned, bucket list destination not only because of the size and untold numbers of these hard-fighting fish that lurk below the surface of our waters, but because our Lake Trout remain in the shallow depths all summer long! Meaning, you don’t need to worry about booking specific dates at ice out – or spawning time – to find the quantity and quality of fish we’re known for. At Frontier, our fishing remains consistent throughout the entire season!
Fly fishermen take note: on the East Arm you’ll not only have the ability to pull streamers for Trophy trout, but when conditions are right, sight casting for Lakers can also be incredibly productive! Shallow, rocky points and reefs will hold fish throughout the summer months, providing great sport that just isn’t available anywhere else.
No matter what your preferred method of fishing is, at Frontier you’ll have the ability to catch a lot of these strong, and aggressive predators with a realistic opportunity to land a true trophy – truly one of the defining features of the Frontier Experience that brings our clients back year after year.
Take a look at our Lake Trout photos and you’ll understand why this fishery is so special!
